Iphone 4G fiasco: Fact or Fiction?
With all the buzz about the release of the new Iphone 4G, and the scandal surrounding the phone found in the bar, conspiracy theories are ripe on the net about the authenticity of the story.
Many have asserted that this is nothing more than a publicity stunt on the part of Apple to get exactly that buzz and anticipation kick started, something that has already transpired. Others argue, well, no, some Apple tech dude just got drunk at a bar, and–in bonehead fashion–stumbled off leaving his cell phone behind.
The plot thickened recently as gizmodo.com’s journalist Jason Chen’s house was raided by police. Gizmodo claimed they purchased the left-behind Iphone for $5000, which was originally disguised as a 3G, and subsequently posted pictures and did a review on its new features.
As with many such scandals, we’ll probably never know what exactly happened and where the truth lies, but we certainly can’t wait until June 7th to see what the new Iphone is all about.
